I can go to the movies.
I can hangout with my friends.
Or I can read a book.
I don’t need you to pay the bills,
Keep the house clean,
Or take care of the kids.
But to imagine a life without you
Would be to assume a heart that doesn’t beat,
Or a brain with no oxygen —
The body might still function,
But the soul ceases to exist.
